This pattern is called Thorpe and I instantly knew that I wanted to knit it. I like that it's a top-down knit in bulky wool and knit in stockinette and garter stitches. I guess you can tell that I'm not in the mood these days for anything too complicated.
I stopped by my LYS last weekend and picked up two skeins of Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky, one in cranberry swirl and another in sapphire. Just their names alone made me want to buy them.
I can already tell that this is going to be a fast knit (yay!) and a pattern that I will be knitting again and again. I wish that I had the kind of face and head that all hats look good on but that's okay.... this Thorpe will be joining the collection of Christmas knitted gifts that I've been building all month long. In fact, I know two very beautiful
This is one of the hat patterns Hubby was interested in, and I still may make him (and me) one. I can't wait to see your finished hat!
