Spring Showers

We had four glorious spring days leading up and through last weekend which was such a delight, but the week has begun with damp weather and gray skies. I know, this type of changing weather is what spring is all about, right?  Spring showers bring May flowers, etc., and I hear that the coming weekend (a holiday one) is meant to be beautiful again so I'm not really complaining.

It's just that I've been seriously bitten by spring fever and have flower and leaf motifs buzzing in my mind all the time. That was definitely helped along when I got my May TFA Year in Colour Club package last week.

The original pattern that accompanied the skein is lovely, but it's not really speaking to me right now. Instead, this fingering weight yarn is telling me something else ... it wants to be knit up into a shawlette, and I think I have to listen. I've been playing around with stitches and believe I've landed on something that will work. Yeah, just call me the yarn whisperer.

  7. Isn't it just beautiful! Yours has more purple than mine! Mine I believe will become socks! This color must have been inspired by flower petals ;-) I look forward to seeing your shawlette!

  8. I just opened my TFA package tonight. I just picked it up from the post office as it was delivered while I was away. I love the colour, too, but this time I think I might try the pattern cowl. I have a sweet spot for cowls!
