First, I was completely taken with this winey colorway in Cascade Heritage Sock and grabbed four skeins to knit the Brooklyn Bridge Cardigan by Melissa Werhle. This will be for me, but I have a feeling a certain teenage girl will be borrowing it from time to time.
Next to jump into my basket were five skeins of Rowan Lima in a heathered reddish-brown for a cardigan (or maybe pullover) of my own design for Miranda. I've heard a lot about Lima, and I'm excited to think up a way to highlight the construction of this yarn.
I was all ready to head to the counter and pay for my goodies when this gorgeous skein peeped out from the 40% sale bin. I've always wanted to knit with Dream in Color Smoosy so my US3 DPNs are ready and waiting.
I'm sure you noticed a color trend here, right? As Pearl, the shop owner, said to me, our love of red must just be the Asian in us!
It sure is gorgeous! The color trend may also be an effect of fall... with all the bright colors outside and the cold coming...
