I'm excited to say that Mark's sweater is finished .... for real, this time .... and we're both so happy with how it turned out. The color suits him, the texture is soft and warm, and most importantly, the fit is comfortable.
The little trick I used to pick up stitches before unravelling worked like a charm. While I hope not to have to employ that method again in the near future, it's good to know that it works.
This sweater is meant to replace the one he's had since college but that remains to be seen. Sometimes, I think beloved old and worn sweaters are hard to retire but perhaps this new one will last just as long.
What a great accomplishment! It turned out really well.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's really nice! Great color and classic shape!
ReplyDeleteTurned out really great, well done!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo shoot and it fits him perfectly! It looks comfy and how sweet knowing his living wife made it for him
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks so nice! What a dapper dude! You'll have to share your tips for getting a hubby to model, LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful sweater and I know it will see years of wear.
ReplyDeletePerfection ~~~ !!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Fits him so well, too!
ReplyDeleteYou did such a wonderful job! The sweater looks great on him. It is a classic style which will stand the test of time.
ReplyDeleteHow clever... I checked out your "little trick" link and think I will use it too. I just finished knitting my very first sweater and was dreading on undoing the sleeves since they are a little wider than I like. Thank you for your tip :)
ReplyDeleteReally nice....looks like a good fit too. Knitting for menfolks can be challenging--most in my vicinity love those wide expanses of stockinette. (And I get bored with it.)
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sweater! Miles and miles of stockinette. I hope he appreciates it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so cozy on him!
