The Cardigan Chronicles -- Day 16

As some of you may have realized, I didn't meet my initial deadline for the Autumnal cardigan which was to finish it and wear it to my family's Thanksgiving meal.  Oh well ... I don't feel too bad about that mainly because I'm simply pleased with the progress that I have made over the last two weeks.

Forgive the photos -- they are not the most flattering images of my backside, but I wanted to give a visual update on the main part of the body.  I'll let my vanity go on these.

I've completed the body portion of the knitting up to the armholes and shoulder cap. The knitting has been fairly straightforward and the only element that I'm a little uncertain about is whether the 8 inches I allowed for the armholes will be roomy enough.  I have a thin frame with thin arms so I think I'm okay but I also think that this cardigan is designed to be roomy.

Before continuing with the back stitches
I'm working on the sleeves now and am using my KAL partner's notes for knitting them in-the-round rather than as flat pieces.  I'm not a huge fan of sewing up seams so when I can avoid them, I will.  I'm excited as I am now more than half-way done with this project and haven't lost steam yet!
