I knit about three more inches on my Wholehearted Shawl and then spent the rest of Saturday with Miranda having lunch and then seeing Ailey II. If Ailey II is ever in your area, you've got to see them -- awesome! In the evening, I switched to knitting my Citron, and I should have finished it, but I'm at the stockinette ruffle edge which is slow-going. Still, I'm confident that I'll be binding off both these shawls in the coming days.

Now back to the Wholehearted Shawl: Two KAL friends have finished their shawls (in record time, I may add). First to the finish line was Wei Siew whose shawl is absolutely stunning. She's not crazy about the blue and white for herself and is planning to gift this one, but I think it's lovely.

Personally, I think it looks beautiful on her.

I just love how these two colors work together to produce such a subtle elegance.

Both have promised that they'll link their posts about their FOs in the link party below so take a look for more details. I know there are more of you out there who are knitting away and maybe have even finished with your shawls. I'd love to see what you've been up to so please link up.
Sitting in the sun, knitting with a cup of coffee DOES sound like the perfect Saturday morning!
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is looking great - I hadn't realized you were doing all one color!
Sure sounds like the perfect weekend! Don't feel bad that you didn't meet you WIP goals this weekend, you should slow down a little and simply enjoy the process. Also, thank you again for hosting the KAL, it is so much fun! I still cannot believe that people have finished already, whoa!
ReplyDeleteWow, you really are making me wish I had joined in on that one. Hmmmmm I just don't have the time though :( But your color is so pretty and those completed ones are just as amazing as well.
ReplyDeleteI have been plowing away at this pattern and love it enough to recommend it to others. I love how my two colors look together and plan a blog post to show my progress so far. Thanks for inviting me into the KAL!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely pecan color. It looks so buttery!
ReplyDeleteYour colour shawl is gorgeous too! It is interesting how using different colours produces such varying effects.
ReplyDeleteEveryone's shawls are just so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDon't you think this pattern will be knit again,
and perhaps, again.
Thank You Evelyn for hosting this kal.
Wholehearted Hugs,
I can't believe there are a couple all done and ended up sooo gorgeous! ♥
ReplyDeleteI love your yarn color, it will be so pretty in just this color! ♥
I'm knitting along nicely and I really like the process of this shawl. I can see myself knitting this one again too! :)
Some wonderful outcomes on that shawl.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first KAL, and I'm enjoying it. Not as fast as some of the other knitters, but I like the Wholehearted Shawl. I already have yarn set aside for my second one. :-)
