From the Cummington Sheep & Wool Fair, 2011 |
Some of you have joined in the Amari KAL that I started earlier this week, and it's been such fun seeing photos of the WIPs and reading everyone's progress. I also joined Susan B. Anderson's patchwork sock KAL but am way behind all the other amazing sock knitters. I've included the link to the Ravelry projects page so you can drool over all the incredible colors and patterns that knitters have chosen. Finally, while it hasn't officially started yet, I've signed up with Carol Feller's 100th pattern KAL. If you haven't seen her new cardigan pattern, you must. It's called Ravi and I can't wait to cast on.

At this point, the only WIP on my needles that I'm solely doing on my own is the Oaklet Shawlette but maybe one of you is working on this? If so, just call me Project: Knit Along Stash.
Have a great holiday weekend, everyone. I'm heading to the Cummington Sheep & Wool Fair in Massachusetts (family in tow) where the photographs above were taken last year. Hmmm, this may become an annual tradition!
Before I read the caption on the first photo I thought I was seeing your enhanced Stash, Evelyn.
ReplyDeleteThis is THE KAL SUMMER. Bye-the-bye, I'm participating in the patchwork sock kal and having a blast.
hugs
I have never done a KAL before and now I'm thinking I really should, what a pretty pattern. I like how clues will be given along with lots of help :). It's worth thinking about.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the fair and the long weekend.
You are a bad influence :) I just bought the Ravi pattern and am off to sign up for the KAL!
ReplyDeleteThese sound so fun! I will have to devote a year to them one day.
ReplyDeleteLoved the pics of the hanging yarn. Sigh, my kind of heaven.
Wow! Sounds like fun! Too bad I can't commit to any KALs at the moment. They're so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat wool fair looks amazing. Your family must be amazing to come with you. So far, my hubs has not participated in any yarny-type conventions and such!
I can't wait to see what you bring home. I wish there was one of those close to me!
I could spend quite a while on the page for the Patchwork KAL, such great projects! I'm very excited to see what you come up with. I hope you have a great time at the fair!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to have a lot of fun! I can't wait to see what you come back with - that wool fair sounds glorious. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the wool fair...quite the dangerous place to go! I think I would have to leave my wallet at home :) Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe patchwork KAL really interests me, is there a specific pattrn for it? And I am really enjoying reading all the things on the Amari KAL, so I know why you like doing them so much :)
ReplyDeleteAll that yarn in those pictures looks heavenly! I hope you have a super day, and I look forward to seeing how your stash grows after today! You KAL's all look like great fun, and I wish I could have joined in on the Amari shawl one, but alas, no time right now. The 100th pattern sweater is lovely, but I am hoping to knit my first sweater for myself this year using the February Lady Sweater--it seems to be a very positive knitting experience for larger girls like myself and seeing as how nervous I am to tackle that large of a project I need to be very sure of the pattern working without a lot of modifications--:)

All those Patchwork sock projects are awesome - thanks for sharing! And I hope you enjoyed yourself at Cummington and that your stash didn't grow (too) much because of it :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! The yarn in your photos looks beautiful. I hope this year's festival was great, too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of your knit alongs. Your productivity amazes me!
I've cast on my Oaklette! I'm in - it's stash wool too :) I'm posting about it shortly. Are there just the two of us????
