The New Me

I'm sure you've noticed something different.  It's kind of hard to miss, I think.  When the one-year anniversary of Project: Stash came around in April, I had the urge to give the little blog an update.  I love looking at how you all design your blogs from the header images that you've chosen to the types of links you provide alongside your posts. When I first launched Project: Stash, like many, I learned as I went along, and while I'm pretty proud of its initial look, I've always wanted to personalize my blog even more.

That's where my talented niece comes in.  Ahem, I should say one of my talented nieces as I have more than one. Kristina is a terrific graphic designer and after just one quick conversation with her, she came up with ideas that felt like she was inside my head!  We met for a "working brunch" in late April and after some great brainstorming email exchanges, she landed on the look that I'm really excited with.

Beth Hat

Not only did Kristina help me update the look of my blog, but her designs have also allowed me to update some other areas that I've been wanting to re-do, especially my original pattern designs.  You may remember that late last year, I posted about a hat I knit for a dear friend and included the instructions on the post.  Ever since then, I've wanted to write up the pattern more properly and with Gail's excellent tech editing, I'm happy to say that the pattern is now exactly what I had dreamed it would be. If you'd like to add a hat to your pattern library, the Beth Hat is an easy knit -- you can check it out by clicking the photo on the sidebar.

I have a few more designs that I'll be releasing in the coming weeks, but for now I want to say a heart-felt thanks to my Project: Stash team!  I'll be thanking a few of my test knitters in later posts but for now, thanks again to Kristina and Gail for your incredible talents!
