I'm joining in Ginny's Yarn Along today!
Since starting the Project: Stash KAL group on Ravelry last Friday, we are now 86 members strong, and I hope we'll continue to grow each day. Thanks to everyone who joined up and is knitting (or planning to knit) a Miranda Hat (or two ... or three ...) in the coming weeks and months.
I'm working on my first Miranda Hat for the knit-along and I'm almost done! I'm knitting with Paton's Classic Wool in Burgundy and love how the fabric is feeling -- solid but supple.
Some of you have started the child version of the pattern, and it's great to see both the adult and child sizes being knitted up.
There's still plenty of time to knit-along so pop back over to my post from Friday and/or over to the Ravelry group and join us. We're a lively and fun group ... and you'll be helping to keep someone warm this winter!
As for reading, can you believe that I still haven't finished Commencement yet? I got a few excuses -- multiple family birthdays and lots of knitting. Am I forgiven?
I'm having so much fun with this knit along! Thank you so much for putting it together!
ReplyDeleteI just picked up three new yarns to cast on my Miranda hats, would have been nice if I had gotten the size 6 needle, but will try and knit loose with a size 5 or tight with a size 7. I am just thankful I don't have to worry about gauge! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a great pattern Evelyn and I love the group. Once this week is over and the wee one is home I will have more time to be involved.
oh...I am heading over to ravelry now to join in! I've got adults and kids that would love this hat!! thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI started my hat with the Classic Wool last night, and I'm really liking how it's knitting up!
ReplyDeleteI have several balls of Moda Dea Washable Wool I'm going to use...but not casting on until July 1, as waiting for the new Nerd Wars challenges...
ReplyDeleteYou know, with that many people signed up, in a matter of months you are going to be up to your neck in charity hats right? I've started on another one too!
ReplyDeleteWhile my knitting schedule for this summer is committed/over-committed, I am gathering my Miranda hat yarn in anticipation of after-summer knitting.
ReplyDeletehugs ♥
When I am a little less over-committed in knitting projects I will be sure to join you. I was a bit burned out on hats though because I knit 10 hats in a time frame of two and a half weeks, but I should be ok now! lol
ReplyDeleteI am up to my eye balls in blankets for the Linus Project (knit with their donated yarn). But I've got a couple of flights with my family this summer and this project will fit beautifully into my travel bag. I'll sign up when when we are ready to leave! Thanks for a great charity project!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I'm still working on my Amari Shawl. Hats are my least favorite things to knit because it never really gets that cold around here. But those are some pretty neat hats.
ReplyDeleteEverytime I see you post or talk about this hat, I want to knit one more and more. I do have some worsted weight yarn in my stash that could work, so maybe after my Amari is done I will cast it on.
ReplyDeleteOh boy I totally forgot to CO for this, dang bug. I'll start tonight!
ReplyDeletesuch a cute hat and i love the color too!
ReplyDeleteI am joining in on the fun!!
