Third Time A Charm?

Remember this?

Well, sadly it has now been turned back into this.

You're right, I frogged Miranda's mesh top yet again as the pattern just wasn't making any sense.  I should have taken a photo to show you the tremendous amount of work that I put into this pullover, but I was so frustrated last night that all I wanted to do was rip it back.  I had knit the front section, the two sleeves, and was just starting on the back when I realized that the sweater just wasn't going to work.

As tough as frogging an entire project can be, I'm okay with this.  The Rowan Calmer is such a lovely yarn and this is such a lovely color. It's meant to be something beautiful and wearable so back to the drawing board I go ...

  1. Oh no! I really hope this project isn't doomed (like my sweater...). You are very smart, I'm positive that you will be able to make something gorgeous (and certainly wearable).

  3. Bummer! At least it's always fun to knit with Calmer, amiright?

  4. I just frogged about 20 inches of scarf last night. Sometimes its just what needs to be done. Thank goodness yarn is reusable.

  5. Sorry about the frogging! Eventually, you'll find the perfect pattern to match the yarn. I promise!

  6. Oh bummers! That is such a beautiful sky blue. Sometimes the yarn is just meant to be something else. It will click for you and I'm sure you'll find another yarn for Miranda's top.

  7. Oh dear!!! That was a lot of work that went rip, rip. Still, you must be happy with a project, and if wasn't going to work better to keep the yarn for something else rather than have it going to waste. Happy wishes that you get the right project for Miranda soon!

  8. I like the peaceful feeling that returns once a frustrating project has been frogged :).

  9. I feel your pain. Get started on something else quick or else you might develop a yarn aversion. Well, maybe not.
