I'm joining in Ginny's Yarn Along this week.
It feels like a long while since I wrote a Yarn Along post and it's nice to be back. One of the most unexpected perks of having treated myself to an iPad last spring was having the ability to read in the dark since the iPad has an internal light. Who knew that it would be such a comfort when our electricity went out? Each day, I saved my iPad reading time until the evening and was able to read chapters upon chapters of my newest library e-book, Gone Girl, which, by the way, is a great under the covers read.
Now to knitting goodness. If yesterday's Show of Hands KAL prize didn't entice you enough to join in, how about this?
This gorgeous second prize is being offered by my KAL-partner, Stefanie, and
includes a skein of Phydeaux Designs bulky weight yarn in Grape and
Brenda Lavell’s popular pattern, Twist Cowl/Shoulder Wrap.
Need I say more?
2 of my dpn that I NEED to cast on with are missing..... Why does this always happen when I neeeed them!
ReplyDeleteHorrors!! I hope you find them ... and quick! : )
DeleteEvelyn, I'm thinking about an iPad. When DD#1 visited last week she had her iPad. I'm thinking I should get one.
ReplyDeleteYou may recall I do have a NookColor that I do love. I can do email, post to my blog, browse the Internet, read library books, you know, the whole deal
But does that lessen my want/need for an iPad ! ! !
Still debating
hugs
nope, you need not say any more. I have pattern, I have yarn. I am ready to go!
ReplyDeletethat pattern and yarn look great. :)
ReplyDeleteThat yarn looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMahalo nui loa to Brenda Lavell of Phydeaux Designs for her generosity!
ReplyDeleteI am listening to Gone Girl when I am running or riding my bike,it's really good isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI hope you are well, warm and comfortable with another storm hitting so close after Sandy.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
oh the lovely ipad! i am so grateful to my baby who surprised me with one when they came out, i probably don't use it to its advantage though and mostly only watch movies when we travel, and store photos! sounds like it's just the thing for you right now!
ReplyDeletetake good care :)
Oh you are always the best at picking out the perfect prizes! If I were more organized I would take part as well because your KALs are always loads of fun! Ah, and now I know your secret for surviving the storm, very smart.
ReplyDeleteGreat prizes! I joined so I could use up my yarn, lol but it is always fun getting more :)
ReplyDeleteWow that is a lovely lilac skein of yarn. Now I have to check out this show of hands KAL now that I'm finished with the Amari.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about that book. Glad to hear you were able to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThat is very enticing, but I've already committed to two different Craft-a-longs this month as well as a Christmas gift sweater! Gah. My poor wallet can't take anymore abuse.
ReplyDeletePerhaps next time :)
I'm glad you have your power back! Gone Girl sounds so good. I'm trying to wait patiently for a copy from the library, but it's so popular.
ReplyDeleteThat cowl and yarn are very pretty!
Amazing prizes! that lilac skein is stunning, and what a clever pattern.
