I follow a lot (and I mean a lot!) of blogs and always make sure I spend some part of my day catching up and commenting on my favorites. The tough part is that my list of favorites is growing by leaps and bounds. As I have a variety of interests, my blog crushes are varied, too: I love reading about your knitting, your cooking, and your DIY projects. The creativity that you share never ceases to amaze me.
I'm a vast reader of all things and in the blogosphere, my reading practices are no different. I often stumble upon blogs which become new favorites but I also love being introduced to new blogs (new to me, that is). This got me thinking about how we, as bloggers, spend a lot of our writing sharing new projects, new ideas, and, yes, new friends with one another. With this in mind, I'm creating a new weekly post where I share one of my blog luvs with you. They may be your favorites, too, but who knows, maybe you'll discover a new friend?
So, which blog is up first? Believe me, there are so many to choose from but the one that keeps coming to the front of my mind is Karen's Fringe Association. I love her photographs and her writing and her overall sense of style. She's talented beyond belief, and I only wish we didn't live across the country from one another as I'm sure we'd have so much fun knitting together ... with coffee and cake, of course!
Last fall, after wanting to design and make her own project bags, Fringe Association opened a pop shop that sold gorgeous tools and supplies for knitters -- bags, stitch markers, yarn, and gift cards. The pop shop was opened through the holiday season but sadly, I had so much going on that I completely missed the chance to grab some goodies.
Much to my amazement, upon her blog's one-year anniversary, Karen gifted one of her incredible bags to her top five commenters ... and I was one of them! I love my new knitting bag (photo above) -- how did she know that I would need an oversized, chic project bag in 2013 to hold all my sweater projects?
I think the pop shop will reopen in the coming months so keep your eye on her blog ... I won't miss my chance again!
I hope you enjoy reading Fringe Association as much as I do!
