Since I started on my Long Journey quilt, several wonderful knitters have joined me in a relaxed but committed knitalong over on our Ravelry group and it sure feels nice to be taking this journey with friends.
At my rate of one hexipuff per half hour, I'm pretty sure I can find an hour in my day to finish two. Now to find a hexipuff basket to collect them in ....

Hmmmm. For some reason my Google Reader took you off my list. So I missed the last few posts. But those hexipuffs are looking cute and I really hope you find the time to keep working on them because those blankets are so much fun! Happy 2013. I can't wait to see what amazing things you do this year.
ReplyDeleteYes, I got this pattern over a year ago and made a few hexagons with left-over sock wool. They took a long time and, sad to say, my flibberty-gibbet mind got bored. I sewed a loop on the corner of each one and sent them to my 5-yr old granddaughter to hang on the tree last Christmas!

You're just being careful and this is a new pattern. Once you get into the groove of the hexipuffs, I'm sure they'll get whipped out faster.

ReplyDeletegood luck with your quilt! your hexipuffs look pretty and fun. i can't wait to see more. it's funny--i just listened to the most recent "never not knitting" podcast, and alana's got hexipuff fever, too. she even timed herself like you did! it sounds like an addicting project, so i bet you'll make quick progress on it.

I totally timed myself as well when I was knitting these! I fell off the hexipuff wagon but maybe I'll get back to it sometime. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteThey are so cute, but I'm the sort of of person who wouldn't be able to go beyond a hexipuff cushion cover. A very small one :)
