A secret pullover for a special someone ... |
I'm also doing some thinking about my little blog and in the new year, I
As for the WIP pictured above, I'll reveal the sweater once it's finished and gifted. I can tell you that it's being knit with Patons Classic Wool in the olive green colorway and every time I knit with this workhorse yarn, I'm reminded why I (re)turn to it so often. It creates a solid and cozy fabric and makes knitting a sweater completely affordable. This is something I'd love to explore further and share on this blog in the new year ~ you know, luxury versus affordable yarn (all from my stash, of course!).
I love Patons Classic Wool for the same reasons. It's surprisingly "unscratchy" for a workhorse yarn, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, hai! Nice to see you back! It's also nice to see the sweater I've been hearing about! You're almost there!
ReplyDeleteI will have to check out that yarn. I love your garments. Quiet here too. Always driving myself crazy making last minute gifts.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great yarn and color...it is popular with my husband : ) Nice to read your post...fair isle 2014! Be we'll and merry merry!
ReplyDeleteFocused knitting and life. I get it! Happy to see you post, and look forward to seeing how you refocus and purpose your knitting and blog, if that's what you decide. I enjoy following you in your yarn and stash journeys :)
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to hear from you! I hope that your holiday season is going well. The sweater looks great. Love Patons Classic Wool. I am knitting my husband's Christmas hat with it.
ReplyDeleteGreat for you to pay a visit to us readers of Project Stash ! :) Lovely work as to be expected... Merry Christmas Evelyn !
ReplyDelete♥ Patons is so my go-to
ReplyDeleteI have noticed your blogging absence. I figured it was due to any number of wonderful things happening in yours or your family's lives. But it is nice to see you here. I'm interested in your sweater design, hmmmm... I love Patons too. It makes a great wool sweater within reach of most knitters. Jane Richmond's use of Patons and Lion brand always struck me as very wise because so many of us can imagine ourselves using it to make a sweater. It is attainable.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you here again - I can just see you enjoying just one project at a time for a change - it's my favourite too :)
ReplyDeleteDirection and purpose sound interesting ... looking forward to it.
I know what you mean about monogamous knitting not sitting well with blogging ... I blog about other things when that happens but then wonder if my knitting readers are bored.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)
I like monogamy or quasi-monogamy. It's good to finish projects before starting new ones and not accumulate too many things to finish. That's my opinion! I look forward to see that sweater!
