One of my favorite blogs hosted a giveaway last month, just before Christmas, and when she let me know that I had won, I was so excited. I've never knit with Yarn by Annie Claire, but I was so hoping to be able to try some. This little package arrived just after the new year -- isn't it pretty? And now I'm looking forward to picking out a pattern for both this weight and color.
If you read Andi's blog, you know that she's making a commitment to buy only from indie dyers this year, and I've been inspired to join her. Yesterday, I posted about my recent purchase of Brooklyn Tweed's Loft which has now happily joined these pretties in my stash.
That looks sooo yummy! Can't wait to see what you're make out of it!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, those yarns do look very pretty :) And good luck with the indie dyers, I have yet to purchase from one but I want to so bad.
ReplyDeleteI love giveaways, too! The yarn looks scrumptious.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning the giveaway! Such a wonderful yarn too, the color is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteOooooh - pretty! Lucky you again!
ReplyDeleteohhhhh loooove that colour! Hope you find the perfect project for it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love entering giveaways, too. ♥
ReplyDeleteGiveaways are so fun; the crafting community is so generous.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a warm, cozy yellow; congrats.
So jealous! I never win anything & that yarn is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteYummy yarn! I am sure whatever you knit with it will be gorgeous. I would love to support local dyers here, but goodness gracious, the one store I went to that carried lovely skeins of lovely hand dyed yarn was selling them for $30 on up. I just cannot afford that--as much as I would dearly love too. I can only hope that someday I will have a huge yarn budget to work with.

Gorgeous colour, very happy and warm, I look forward to seeing what you make with it....somehow something with cables in it I think, as it would be like corn dollies....this probably makes no sense, but I think of that colour and think of golden bread plaits and corn dollies!
