Much Appreciated

Do you remember when I blogged about ordering from Craftsy and getting these beautiful skeins for a song?

Well, it turns out that a few days later, I got an email from Craftsy thanking me for my order but letting me know that they made a terrible mistake and sent me the wrong yarn.  I had ordered a Cascade 128 superwash but they had sent me regular old chunky instead.  I'll be honest -- when the yarn arrived, I was surprised that the superwash would be so ... well ... rough.  But I was still happy with the quality and the color.  As I read my email, I thought it was a shame that the mistake had been made and was expecting them to ask for the yarn's return but to my happy surprise, Craftsy let me know that they were correcting their mistake by sending me the proper order and inviting me to keep the yarn I had already received.

In this day and age, I often lament about the lack of customer service but here is a wonderful example of an organization that wants to promote and maintain good will with its subscribers.

I received my replacement order within a few days of the email.  Yup, the superwash is super soft and the color is gorgeous.  I have to say, a little thoughtfulness goes a long way!

  1. Wow, that's really good customer service. Good thing you didn't start knitting and then threw the item in the washer!

Thanks to your recommendation I checked out Craftsy deals and ordered myself two skeins of Cascade Epiphany, which is absolutely to die for! I don't think I would have gotten it if it wasn't on sale.

  7. I have only recently discovered Craftsy. I didn't realise they sold yarn as well (I was obviously not awake when I read your original post). It looks like a cool site, and I'm especially interested in how you can now load patterns on to it.
